Scrub Away for health and beauty!

Japanese Nylon Washcloths
I was in a naturopath's office the other day and noticed an article about a common Japanese washcloth that I've been using all my life.    According to Japanese research, scrubbing & removing the dead skin cells causes the body to move the immune properties to the skin surface so the person has healthier protection.
Lately, I have been thinking about my own skin, pondering why people tend to think I'm much younger than my age... Perhaps one of the reasons is that my skin has been "defoliated" every bath time.

Thus this washcloth blog.

Top reasons to give these a try:
1.Cheap - they cost between $2-$5 and last FOREVER!!!!  Not to mention saving money on professional spa defoliation.
2.Mold Free - I love the fact that they dry very quickly because they are nylon and not cotton so they will never get moldy or slimy...which makes them last a very long time.
3.Healthy skin - they do a great job scrubbing the skin, removing that dirt, oil and BO!
4.Long - They are long so it's easy to scrub your entire back and body with minimal effort
5.Travel Convenience - Because they are nylon, they are light and can be compacted in your toiletry.  They are great for camping or traveling in hot, humid countries.
6.Lathering and Color FUN - I love being able to choose the different colors, textures and the way it lathers up using minimal soap.
7.Sensory Challenges - These are great for children who have Sensory Integration challenges and need more pressure on their skin.

You can buy these at any Asian stores such as Ranch 99 or Uwajimaya.

These long nylon scrubbers come in various colors and textures. The blue is softer than the pink.
Packaged in clear plastic they cost between $2-$5.

For those of you who are concerned about "sustainability" I would say that because these last so long they are very earth friendly.  If you are still concerned about any washcloth's sustainability then I would suggest using loofa because it is naturally biodegradable BUT you should buy the "natural" loofa grown in California because the majority of loofa is grown in environments using a lot of chemical insecticides.
